Legoland Sneak Peek : Miniland Las Vegas Photos
March 22nd, 2007
There’s only one week left to the Grand Opening of Legoland California’s Miniland Las Vegas, and the crew is busy installing the assembled pieces, electronics and finishing touches. With over two million bricks and more than sixteen thousand hours of labor, this Miniland expansion is the largest of its kind undertaken in any of the Legoland Parks.
Miniland Las Vegas will feature the world-famous Las Vegas Strip and many of its unique casinos, emulating a walk down Las Vegas Boulevard. Each Miniland Las Vegas building will have amazing lighting and sound features, and many will also incorporate interactive features such as: Treasure Island’s Pirate Battle; an exploding volcano in front of the Mirage; water squirting fire boats in front of New York New York; and working versions of the Stratosphere’s thrill rides.
Scheduled to be open to the public on March 29, 2007, Legoland California’s Miniland Las Vegas promises to be a “must see” during your visit to Legoland.
Enjoy these sneak peek photos, taken at Legoland earlier today.

Luxor’s Sphinx and Pyramid, with Excalibur in the background.

Treasure Island and Mirage. To give you an idea of scale, the woman standing behind Treasure Island was actually standing on a short ladder.

Paris and Venetian in foreground; New York New York in background. Note that the New York New York structure is sitting on cement bricks, waiting to be inserted into the ground.
