Random Film Festival : San Diego International Children’s Film Festival

April 18th, 2007

The 4th Annual San Diego International Children’s Film Festival makes its way to the Museum of Photographic Arts in Balboa Park later this month. The Festival will showcase full-length and short films from around the world made for children and teens, including live action, animation and documentaries. Two exciting workshops are also being offered in conjunction with the Film Festival – one on Animation and the second on How to Make a Movie.

The films have been clustered together into Programs that run roughly one hour in length, with each program created to appeal to various age groups (for example, films for the young‘uns will be shown earlier in the day). As an added bonus, Festival dates have been selected to coincide with larger events taking place in and around Balboa Park, including Earth Day (Sunday, April 22, 2007) and Cinco de Mayo (Saturday, May 5, 2007).

The San Diego International Children’s Film Festival takes place on April 22 and 29, and May 5, 2007 at the Museum of Photographic Arts in Balboa Park. Tickets may be purchased online and are priced as follows: single program tickets - $5.00; workshops - $10.00 each; Day Passes (films only) - $20.00 on April 22 & May 5, and $15.00 on April 29. An All-Events Super Pass is also available for $50.00 and includes access to all three days of films and workshops. Children 3 and under are free.
