A Pirate’s Life for Thee? Legoland California Holds Open Auditions for Pirates

April 19th, 2007

Aaaarrhhhh Maties – it’s time to put yer best Pirate foot (or peg leg) forward and audition for the chance to be a Legoland Pirate.

Legoland California is currently casting male and female actors to play fun and comical pirates for the 2007 summer season. If selected, you will also have the opportunity to perform in one of two pirate-themed live stage shows.

Preliminary auditions are scheduled by appointment only and are being held April 26-28 and May 3-5, 2007 beginning at 5:00pm, with call backs scheduled for May 6, 2007.

You will be asked to perform a one minute monologue that is comical and geared for children as part of your audition. You should also use your monologue as an opportunity to demonstrate your best pirate voice/accent. You should also bring a current head shot, resume and list of dates you cannot work between mid-May and September 2, 2007.

Applicants must be available to work mid-May to early September with no scheduled vacations. Shift times vary, but average 7 hours a day, with approximately 5 20-minute shows each day. Compensation is $15.00 per hour.

For more information or to schedule an audition, call the Audition Hotline at (760) 918-5388.
