So it comes down to the “Battle of the Davids” as American Idol announces the top two finalists, Rocker David Cook and Crooner David Archuleta.
Regardless of the outcome, you will be able to see both the Davids and the other top ten finalists – including San Diego’s own Carly Smithson and tonight’s cast off Syesha Mercado – during the American Idol Live! Tour 2008 later this summer.
The American Idol Live! Tour 2008 comes to the San Diego Sports Arena on July 2, 2008. Tickets officially go on sale on May 17, 2008 at 10:00 am through TicketMaster and will sell for between $39.50 to $68.50.

Starting 10:00 am on May 14, 2008 to 10:00 pm May 16, 2008 (local times), you can purchase up to 8 presale tickets using the special presale password: POPTARTS (one word, all in capital letters).
To purchase presale tickets to the American Idol Live! Tour 2008, here’s what you have to do: (1) go to the American Idol Live! page on the Kellogg’s Pop-Tarts website and make note of the Ticket Presale Password; (2) click on the Ticketmaster icon or “Get Tickets” link from the American Idol Live! page on the Kellog’s Pop-Tarts website to be redirected to the Ticketmaster website; (3) follow the instructions on the Ticketmaster website to purchase your Presale Tickets to the American Idol Live! Tour 2008t. Don’t forget to type in the presale password POPTARTS when prompted and remember: there is a limit of 8 presale tickets per household.
Again, the presale tickets will be on sale through the Kellogg’s Pop-Tarts website (the concert sponsor) from 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 to 10:00 pm on Friday, May 16, 2008 (local times). You will need the Presale Ticket Password POPTARTS in order to purchase presale tickets. Tickets will be on sale to the general public starting at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 17, 2008.
