July 13th, 2008

The San Diego County Fair has come and gone, but not to fret: the 2008 Del Mar Thoroughbred Horse Racing season is upon us!

For horse racing aficionados, the Del Mar Races never disappoint. In addition to the 17th running of the Grade 1 $1 Million Pacific Classic race (which takes place on Sunday, August 24, 2008), fans can mingle and meet world renowned horses, trainers, jockeys and owners in a premier setting only a few furlongs away from the Pacific Ocean. For music lovers, the Summer Concert Series rocks the racetrack with music and entertainment from top bands, and for families, the Family Fun Day events are a perennial crowd pleaser.

The Del Mar Races 2008 Season runs from Wednesday, July 16, 2008 to Wednesday, September 3, 2008. There are no races on Tuesdays. All races take place at the Del Mar Racetrack located at 2260 Jimmy Durante Boulevard, Del Mar, CA, 92014.
