Celtic Spring : America’s Got Talent Finalist Performs at California Center for the Arts, Escondido
September 10th, 2008
America’s Got Talent Season 1 Finalist Celtic Spring performs this Sunday at the California Center for the Arts in Escondido.
California’s Wood family, better known as Celtic Spring, consists of six siblings who play the fiddle and step dance, backed by their mother on the keyboard and their father on percussion. This Irish American dance and fiddle band combines traditional Celtic music with Irish and Cape Breton step dancing. The result is nothing short of spectacular.
In 2007, Celtic Spring’s high energy peformance landed them the honor of being one of the top five finalists in Season 1 of America’s Got Talent. But their notoriety doesn’t end there: in 2002, Celtic Spring was named Grand Champion of the World at the World Championships of the Performing Arts in Hollywood; they have toured and performed both nationally and internationally; and have been featured on The Today Show, Good Morning America, the Steve Harvey Show, the Tom Joyner Show, PBS, EWTN, and Japan’s Nippon Television.
Celtic Spring takes the stage at the California Center for the Arts in Escondido on Sunday, September 14, 2008 at 3:00 pm. The California Center for the Arts is located at 340 North Escondido Boulevard, Escondido, CA , 92025.
