Temecula Harvest Wine Celebration 2008

October 24th, 2008

Celebrate the Harvest during the Temecula Harvest Wine Celebration and enjoy a weekend of wine and food tastings at 22 wineries over a two day period for one low price. The Temecula Harvest Wine Celebration takes place on Saturday November 1 and Sunday, November 2, 2008.

Temecula Valley Winegrowers Association (C)During the Harvest Wine Celebration, guests travel on their own from winery to winery visiting each of the 22 participating Temecula area wineries one time over a one or two day period. At each winery they will be able to enjoy delicious samples of perfectly paired foods with award-winning Temecula wines. New, unreleased, and some barrel and tank samples of wine are featured. It’s the perfect opportunity to discover the beautiful Temecula Valley Wine Country!

What makes this a great deal for weekend wine tasters? Here are three great reasons:
90+ point rated wines under $20

One great price. Individual wine tastings can average around $10.00, and with 22 winery members in the valley, the cost of a weekend of wine can really add up. The ticket price allows you one visit to each winery over the two-day span, with wineries pouring two wines for the event.

Amazing food. Your ticket price not only includes several pours of great wine at all the member wineries, but also food paired to fit each wine, which really enhances the wine-drinking experience. Some wineries work with caterers, local restaurants, or their own onsite restaurant, while other smaller wineries will pull out the BBQ for some home cooking. As Joe Hart, owner and winemaker at Hart Winery, says, “You get to try the wine with food, which is really what wine is all about – it’s a beverage to accompany food.”

Friendly company. Temecula still retains a charming “mom and pop” ambiance. The staff members at the wineries are extremely friendly and can answer any questions you may have about what you are drinking. Also, don’t be surprised if you bump into the winemakers or the owners of the wineries. They love to mingle with the crowd.
