Saturday, March 28, 2009:
Kids’ Day -
Fun filled day of activities, including snow and sledding in Santa’s Playground, appearance by Ronald McDonald, Legoland hands-on table, live entertainment, face painting, animal balloons, and free child safety IDs. All Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Brownies, Girl Scouts, Campfire Kids, Awanas and Boys and Girls Club members who wear their uniforms or provide proof of membership will receive a free pot, soil, flower seeds and instructions on how to grow your very own flowering plant.
San Diego Science Festival – Flower Power!
Join Michael Klein, biologist and pollination expert, for an interactive 30-minute talk on the basics that go into a very complex world between plants and their pollinators. Then enjoy a short walk through some of The Flower Field’s display gardens, while learning about insect/plant relationships.

Bluegrass Day -
Enjoy a full day of Bluegrass music – guitar, banjo and fiddle, arts and crafts and a special concert by Highway 76.

Arts & Crafts Fair -
Featuring an array of outstanding paintings, photography, pottery and crafts created by the best of Southern California’s artisans. Stroll among the arts and crafts, listen to live music and enjoy delicious heart-shaped strawberries grown in local San Diego fields.

Easter Service -
Sunrise service followed by a free breakfast will take place on Sunday, April 12, 2009 at 6:30 am. After the service, stay to enjoy the beauty of The Flower Fields, including two-for-one coupon good for admission to The Flower Fields on April 12, 2009 only.

Red Hat Ladies’ Day/Style Show -

Mother’s Day Celebration -
Join the folks of the Flower Fields for the final day of the 2009 season as they honor Moms on their special day.
The Flower Fields of Carlsbad is located at 5704 Paseo Del Norte in Carlsbad, CA, directly above the Outlet Mall and roughly two miles away from Legoland California and the SeaLife Aquarium. The Flower Fields is open to the public daily from March 1, 2009 through to May 10, 2009, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Admission is $10.00 for adults; $9.00 for Seniors (aged 60+) and $5.00 for children ages 3 to 10. Children 2 and under are free. Season passes are also available ($10.00 – $20.00).
