September 19 & 20, 2009: Open Audition for TV Game Show Wheel of Fortune at Valley View Casino
TV’s classic word-puzzle solving game show Wheel of Fortune is holding Open Auditions in the San Diego area this weekend, Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20, 2009. Here’s your chance to spin the wheel for your chance to win big!
Wheel of Fortune’s Wheelmobile is rolling into town in search of potential contestants for an upcoming show. They will be at the Valley View Casino on Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20, 2009. Here’s how the Wheel of Fortune Open Audition will work: the Wheelmobile Team will conduct three simulated shows each day, at 11:00 am, 12:30 pm and 2:00 pm. Applications for tryouts will be distributed approximately one hour before each show. When the show begins, applications will be drawn at random and those people will be called up on stage to participate in a brief interview and play a version of the Wheel of Fortune Speed-Up Round. Participants may also win show-themed prizes. Once the Wheelmobile event is concluded, the Team will choose people for callbacks and a second round of auditions, which will be held in San Diego a few months after the initial audtion event. Contestants for the game show will be selected from this shortlist. Remember, this Wheelmobile event does not guarantee you a spot on the show – it is an audition.
The Wheelmobile Team is looking for people that they believe will make good contestants. This means more than being able to solve the puzzles, you need to also demonstrate energy, enthusiasm and a sense of fun. This is your opportunity to shine and show the Team what you’ve got. Please note that due to gaming regulations, you must be 21 years of age in order to attend any Valley View Casino event, including the Wheel of Fortune Open Audition.
The Wheel of Fortune Open Casting Call will be held on Saturday, Septemeber 19 and Sunday, September 20, 2009 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Valley View Casino, located just north of San Diego at 16300 Nyemii Pass Road, Valley Center, CA 92082. Be sure to check the NBC San Diego Wheel of Fortune Game Show Tryouts website for contestant eligibility requirements and additional event information.
With a little luck and good fortune, perhaps one day soon, you’ll be the one on national TV saying “I’ll take an “R” Pat” and watching Vanna White sashay across the letter board.
