Saturdays in the Park = Free Outdoor Family Films and Concerts in Escondido
Saturdays in the Park returns to Grape Day Park in Escondido for another summer of fun, free, family friendly films and concerts. The Saturdays in the Park events take place from June 4 to August 27, 2011 (movies and concerts will alternate every other Saturday).
Summer Movies
The Summer Movies portion of the Saturdays in the Park event brings seven family favorite flicks to a large outdoor screen every other Saturday in June, July and August 2011.
Here is the 2011 Saturdays in the Park Summer Movie Schedule:
- June 4, 2011 – Tangled
- June 18, 2011 – Cars
- July 2, 2011 – Megamind
- July 16, 2011 – The Wizard of Oz
- July 30, 2011 – Despicable Me
- August 13, 2011 – Babe
- August 27, 2011 – Toy Story 3
Special children’s activities will take place at 7:00 pm, and the snack bar will also be open at that time. All movies start at sundown (around 8:00 pm). All children must be accompanied by an adult. Guests are encouraged to bring low-back lawn chairs, blankets and flashlights.
Summer Concerts
The Summer Concerts portion of the Saturdays in the Park event brings six great bands to Grape Day Park on alternate Saturdays in June, July and August 2011.
Here is the 2011 Saturdays in the Park Summer Concert Schedule:
- June 11, 2011 – Latin Cumbia Night
- June 25, 2011 – ’70s Soul Night
- July 9, 2011 – Rockabilly Night
- July 23, 2011 – Classic Hits Night
- August 6, 2011 – Youth Music Night
- August 20, 2011 – Caribbean Dance Night
All concerts start at 7:00 pm. Guests are encouraged to bring low-back lawn chairs or blankets to this outdoor event. Snacks will be available for purchase at the Snack Bar.
The 2011 Saturdays in the Park outdoor summer movie and concert series takes place at Grape Day Park in Escondido (321 North Broadway, Escondido, CA) from June 4 to August 27, 2011. This is a free, family friendly event.
