Encinitas Fall Festival 2011 – Free, Family Friendly Event

Sunday, November 20, 2011 – Street Fair Includes Shopping and Entertainment
Every November for two decades, the Downtown Encinitas Main Street Association has played host to a premier Street Fair – The Fall Festival. This free, family friendly Festival, previously known as the Poinsettia Festival, is a ready-made bazaar for holiday shoppers and weekend fun seekers. This year, on Sunday, November 20, 2011 fair-goers will enjoy a day where coastal breezes meet people gathering to shop, eat, be entertained and enjoy the community’s Historical district. The Festival will feature over 450 vendor booths showcasing various arts, crafts, gifts, food and more. The 200 shops and 40 restaurants and eateries along the Coast Highway from D to J Streets will be open and ready for business. Live music will be playing at two venues: The Lumberyard Courtyard Stage (located at The Lumberyard) and the Community Stage (close to F Street). Both stages will feature the best in local entertainment.

Lumberyard Courtyard Stage -
- 11:00 am to 1:00 pm – Peter Sprague
- 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm – Adrienne Nims and Spirit Wind
Community Stage -
- 11:00 am to 11:30 am – YMCA Performing Troupe
- 11:30 am to 12:00 pm – Georgia Schmid Belly Dancing
- 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm – School of Rock (2 performances)
- 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm – Dance Connection
- 1:30pm to 2:00 pm – Ke Hulili O Kailani
- 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm California Music Studios (2 performances)
- 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm – Encinitas School of Music (2 performances)
- 3:30pm-4pm Encinitas School of Music
Free Parking at the Encinitas Fall Festival:
The Coast Highway 101 will be closed from D Street to J Street starting at 6:00 am, however many parking facilities will be available for the event within a short walking distance: Moonlight Beach Parking Lot; City Hall Parking Lot on Vulcan Avenue; NCTD Coaster Station Lots at D or E Streets and Vulcan Avenue. There is also free parking now available at Lot B on the corner of E Street and Vulcan Avenue.
Special Event – Test Drive a Mitsubishi i Electric Car:
Mitsubishi Motors North America announced that the all new 100% electric 2012 Mitsubishi i is embarking on a tour of the Pacific Northwest and California. The Encinitas Fall Festival has been chosen as one of the stops! While you’re at the Fall Festival, be sure to stop by the “Mitsubishi i 100% Electric Experience” tour to experience and test drive the Mitsubishi i and learn about the vehicle from an on-site team of Mitsubishi i experts.
The 2011 Encinitas Fall Festival takes place on Sunday, November 20, 2011 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm along the Coast Highway from D to J Streets in Downtown Encinitas. This is a free, family friendly event.
