Holiday Tree Lighting & Winter Wonderland in Escondido

December 3, 2011 – Free, Family Friendly Holiday Celebration in Escondido
The California Center for the Arts, Escondido is presenting its biggest annual holiday celebration ever staged at the Center for the enjoyment and excitement of children and families in Escondido and throughout the North County. Now in it 7th year, the annual celebration includes a wide variety of activities and entertainment with the acclaimed Marine Band San Diego performing a holiday program in the Concert Hall. The concert and the holiday celebrations are free and open to the public.

A highly popular activity for children is a chance to play in a big mountain of snow. Children are also invited to visit with Santa who will be available to hear the special requests from all the little boys and girls attending the event. Craft activities, jugglers, balloon artist, stilt walker, carolers and more will also be on hand to help celebrate.
At 6:20 pm, all eyes will be focused on the Center’s 20-foot Christmas tree when Escondido Mayor Sam Abed along with Jon Teeuwissen (Inter CEO) and Carina Courtright (Chair of the Board of Trustees) officially light up the majestic tree.
The Winter Wonderland and Holiday Tree Lighting will take place on Saturday, December 3, 2011 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm in and around the California Center for the Arts, Escondido (340 North Escondido Boulevard, Escondido, CA). This family friendly event is free and open to the public.
