About the Oceanside Museum of Art
Opened in 1995 and housed in side-by-side buildings designed by two of southern California’s most renowned Modernist architects, Irving Gill and Frederick Fisher, the Oceanside Museum of Art fosters and promotes the study, appreciation and understanding of art, with special focus on regional art, through its exhibitions, collections, and educational programs.
In addition to more than fifteen highly praised modern and contemporary art exhibitions per year, museum programming includes concerts, films, culinary events, fundraising parties, evening events, docent tours and chartered travel to other local, national and international cultural art venues and destinations.
Open Tuesday to Saturday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and Sunday 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, the Oceanside Museum of Art is located at 704 Pier View Way in downtown Oceanside, California within walking distance from the Oceanside transit center with Amtrak, Coaster, Sprinter and Metrolink stops.
