Enjoy Free Family Art Workshops in Carlsbad
Family Open Studios are free, hands-on art making workshops designed for the whole family. Presented in conjunction with exhibitions at the William D. Cannon Art Gallery, each Family Open Studio event allows guests to view the current exhibition in the Gallery, create works of art in the courtyard based on the Gallery exhibition and then take the finished project home to enjoy.
Here is a list of upcoming Family Open Studio events for 2012. Each event takes place from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm:
Saturday, May 19, 2012 – Joe Brubaker: The Exquisite Garden
Saturday, August 18, 2012 – Public Artists, Private Works
Saturday, November 17, 2012* – Full Deck: A Short History of Skate Art (*PLUS program, which will include a free performing arts event at the Schulman Auditorium at 11:45 am and 1:15 pm)
Family Open Studios take place in the Carlsbad Dove Library Complex located at 1775 Dove Lane, Carlsbad, CA. All workshop materials are provided free of charge and each family friendly event is free and open to the public.
