May 31st, 2012

June 9 & 10, 2012 – Tasty Bites From Over 30 Gaslamp Restaurants for One Low Price!

Put on your stretchy pants and get ready to hit the streets of the Gaslamp on Saturday, June 9 and Sunday, June 10, 2012 as the Taste of Gaslamp returns to the historic Gaslamp Quarter in Downtown San Diego. This year’s Taste of Gaslamp will once again be an epicurean escapade unlike any other, courtesy of the Gaslamp Quarter’s finest dining establishments.

New to the Taste of Gaslamp? Here’s how it works: After checking in and picking up a map and sampling ticket, participants take a self guided culinary tour of the Gaslamp, visiting many of the area’s one of a kind restaurants, eateries and bars. At each location, visitors get to try a sampling of the delicious house specialties and/or refreshments while enjoying the unique atmosphere each place has to offer. It’s a great way to learn about many popular Gaslamp locations for one reasonable price. Visit as many or as few of the venues as you want, in any order that you want; with over 30 locations participating each day, there’s something to please every palate!

Taste of Gaslamp 2012 takes place on Saturday, June 9 and Sunday, June 10, 2012 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm each day. Tickets – sold per person, per day – are available online and include a free Taste of Gaslamp Recipe Book. The event sells out every year, so be sure to purchase your tickets in advance.

The Fine Print: You must check in upon arrival; check in will take place at the San Diego Marriott Gaslamp Quarter, 660 K Street, San Diego, CA. Each participant must have a ticket; sharing tickets is not permitted. If you have an e-ticket, bring it along to check-in. Do not make additional copies of the e-ticket, it will be scanned for authenticity and the first copy only will be admitted or accepted, all duplicates will be rejected. This event is suitable for all ages; however, a few locations (such as the Beer Garden) are only open to patrons 21 and up. Guests with dietary restrictions (vegetarian, vegan, allergies, etc.) may not find adequate sampling opportunities. A completely accurate ingredient lists may not be readily available, please use caution and participate at your own risk. This event requires a lot of walking and waiting in line, small children may not have the patience or stamina; while children are more than welcome to attend, please use your best judgment. Other restrictions may apply, see website for details.

Bon Apetit, San Diego!
