August 4, 2012 – Unique Nighttime Art Experience at Grape Day Park
Set in Grape Day Park, an Escondido, CA urban park with old growth trees and historic buildings, Glow-in-the-Park will turn the downtown Park into an Art Park for the night with large scale, illuminated and inflatable art installations on Saturday, August 4, 2012. A variety of art installations will feature light, sound, film, fluorescence, water, and inflatable art.
Visitors to this family friendly event will be able to stack oversized glow in the dark blocks, sing karaoke songs about the moon as their faces are projected onto a large balloon hovering over the Park, and watch art films on an inflatable screen. Visitors can also download an App to change the color of LED lights on a 15 foot tall sculpture, interact with a dancer, go inside a tipi, check out lights on circus tents, explore “Sacred Space,” and watch “New Seed” wiggle. And that’s not even all…you just have to come and experience Glow-in-the-Park for yourself to really appreciate the event!
Glow-in-the-Park takes place on Saturday, August 4, 2012 from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm at Grape Day Park in Escondido, CA. This is a family friendly event.
