September 29 & 30, 2012 – Free Street Fair Features Great Bands
Looking for a place to kick back and enjoy great live music this weekend? You’re in luck! Head over to Adams Avenue on Saturday, September 29 and Sunday, September 30, 2012 for the Adams Avenue Street Fair and get your fill of free live music all weekend long!
Considered to be one of the largest free music street fairs in California, this year’s Adams Avenue Street Fair will feature over 90 live music acts on 7 stages, four beer gardens, giant carnival rides and over 300 craft and food vendors!
Located above the San Diego Stadium and Mission Valley, Adams Avenue runs through the historic neighborhoods of Kensington, Normal Heights and University Heights. One of the area’s signature annual events, the Adams Avenue Street Fair was started in 1981 by the Adams Avenue Business Association at the corners of School and Mansfield Streets. The headline band at the time was made up of San Diego Police officers who performed as a community outreach. Today, the Street Fair has grown to include Adams Avenue Park and several parking lots and spans over a full weekend packed with seven stages on seven blocks along Adams Avenue.
The Adams Avenue Street Fair 2012 takes place on Saturday, September 29 and Sunday, September 30, 2012 along Adams Avenue between 33rd and 35th Streets in San Diego. Street Fair hours are 10:00 am to 10:00 pm on Saturday, and 10:00 am to 7:00 pm on Sunday. This free event is open to the public.
