October 31, 2012 – Celebrate Halloween in Little Italy at this Free, Family Friendly Event
Looking for a place for the young ones to haunt this Halloween? The Little Italy Association invites downtown families to trick-or-treat in a safe, family-friendly environment in San Diego’s Little Italy community.
A favorite annual event, Trick-or-Treat on India Street brings San Diego’s Little Italy neighborhood together by giving kids the chance to trick-or-treat up and down India Street at participating merchant locations. Open to the public, this event is free for families and serves as a great way to celebrate Halloween in an urban setting.
To participate, families must check-in at the Piazza Basilone, located at the corner of West Fir and India Streets, and pick up their event map. Participants will then be off to collect Halloween candy from identified storefronts that are part of the event.
“Our annual Trick or Treat on India Street is a real locals event,” said Steven Galasso, President of the Little Italy Association. “It’s truly a joy to host this for downtown families and see kids’ Halloween costumes when they celebrate Halloween in Little Italy.”
This year, families are encouraged to share their Trick-or-Treat on India Street photos online and through their mobile devices referencing the hashtag #TOTLittleItaly. Fans can engage with fellow fans and trick-or-treaters through social media resources including, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram.
Trick-or-Treat on India Street takes place in San Diego’s Little Italy neighborhood on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Visit the Association’s website for more information. This is a free, family friendly event.
